Passing Power cable from battery for auto radio

    Hello ,

Escuse me for speaking english but I'm English living in France , I own a 206cc 2002 mux model and I'm having a problem with my auto radio (alpine 9823rb) after 6 months of normal operation it started loosing it's memory , returned it to alpine but they could find no fault and my radio in another car works fine so it's an electrical problem wit my 206cc .

I'm looking to pass through a dedicated positive from the battery to the auto radio , I have seen photo's on this site where people have passed through a dedicated positive from the right hand side where the battery is located but I can't get a drill in there as the place is small to drill a hole

How can I do this ?

Any help would be appreciated , thanking you in advance

    Regards

    Hi,

    http://www.ccfreunde.de/apportal/mai...ke206&artid=63
the third picture shows you the hole that you mean! It´s very difficult to get through with a drill.
It´s easier if you use a thin hollow pipe with a diameter of 8mm, (alternativ a long srewdriver) and a hammer!

The picture shows you where the cable passes through into the car. Normally there is a little
plastic ball, not good to see, but you can feel it.
Put the pipe on this ball and slam shut with the hammer. But be careful, don´t hurt any other cable.

    Hope i could help,

    Tos
